Jimmy Burdette

Jimmy Walton Burdette, age 83 of Erin, TN, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Houston County Community Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Tay Joslin officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The Burdette family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at noon.

Jimmy entered this life on December 12, 1939 in Summertown, TN, son to the late Olice F. Burdette and Ruby Mae Williams. Jimmy was a member of Erin Church of Christ and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to his family; he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra White Burdette; siblings, Timmy Burdette, Christine Burdette Rankin, Rosetta Burdette Lyles, Judy Burdette Long; and great-granddaughter, Millie Kay Black.

Survivors include his loving children, Donald (Becky) Burdette, Shelby (Jeff) Curtis, Terri Black;  sister, Jo Abbott; brothers, Junior Burdette, Danny Burdette, and Ricky Burdette. Jimmy also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Burdette, C.J. Black, Daniel Curtis, Tyler Curtis, Cane Burdette, Will Black, Eric Warden, and Mason Curtis; Bo Tinin will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
