Jerry Hankins

September 14, 1957 — October 9, 2020

Jerry “Hank” Dean Hankins, age 63 of Erin, TN, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2020 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Baggett officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The Hankins family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Monday afternoon.
Hank entered this life on September 14, 1957 in Waverly, TN, son to John Hankins Jr, and Patsy Ross. Hank lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed a lot of things in life. He was avid about fishing, hunting, Nascar, (especially Dale Earnhardt), hot rods, drag racing, and spending his down time at the lake; he loved his community and country.
Hank had a tremendous work ethic, dedicated to his work as the owner of Erin Lube and Hankins Automotive, you could always count on him to treat people fairly, and to help anyone in need. Spending time with his family was his highest priority, and he always tried his best to never miss his children or grandchildren’s ballgames.
Hanks’ passion was playing music and he learned from an early age to play the guitar and spent much of his time playing with family and friends. He also played for benefits, in church, and in bands for the community.
Hank was gifted with a fun sense of humor and always had something funny to say that would make you laugh or smile, he will greatly be missed.
In addition to his father, Hank was preceded in death by his wives, Rita Hankins and Lacy Hankins; and brother, Rex Hankins.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pamela Hankins; children, Jamie (Angie) Hankins, Jeremy Shay (Pamela) Hankins, Holly Elizabeth (Matt) Pollard, Jerret (Caitlin) Hankins), Jerison Dean Hankins; stepchildren, Dominic (Kayla) Arroyo, Monica (Jessie) Kelchner, Madison Eguires; mother, Patsy Blackwell; sisters, Pam (Bill) Barfield, and Joy (Tony) Baggett. Hank also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Cotton, Jerry Brooks, Ray Elliott, Sidney Warden, Terry Norfleet, Otis Kelly, Larry Hankins, and Boomer Bucciarelli. Terry Tanner will serve as honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nave Funeral Home.
