Jennifer Sturgill

Jennifer Ann Meacham Sturgill, 78, Clarksville, Tennessee, died Friday December 5, 2025. She was born on November 17, 1947, in Clarksville to the late James Dophin Meacham and Kathleen King Meacham. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sturgill III, brothers James Edward Meacham and Michael Meacham. Survivors include her son, William Sturgill IV (Stacie) and sisters Mary Kay Meacham Parks, Monica Meacham Wilson (Donny) and Margaret Meacham Nelson.
Jennifer attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School, Clarksville High and Austin Peay State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She taught in the Cheatham and Montgomery County School Systems for a total of 42 years. After retirement, she continued working with children at First Presbyterian Preschool.Jennifer was a life-long member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she found joy serving as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of her Pondering Group, as well as volunteering for countless Church functions. She will always be remembered for her dedication to the Holy Rosary.Jennifer was cremated and will be laid to rest with her husband Bill at a later date. Her Pondering Group has scheduled a Mass to be offered for her at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 4:30 P.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2026. All are welcome to join us at the Mass to remember and celebrate Jennifer. Everyone is also invited to gather after Mass in the Family Life Center.In memory of Jennifer’s devotion to education, contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception School, 1901 Madison Street, Clarksville, Tennessee 37043.
