Janet Wood, 88 of Cumberland Furnace, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Morehead, KY on December 27, 1937; the daughter of the late Clayton and Katherine Messer Clark.
Janet was lovingly known as “Nanny” to six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and became a “Nanny” to everyone she met. She was loving Christian that enjoyed serving others.
Janet leaves behind her son, Donald (Jennifer) Wood Jr.; daughter, Brenda (Bucky) Ratliff; brother, Ronnie Clark; sisters, Carol Frey and Debbie Hougland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wood Sr; daughter, Theresa Wood; and siblings, Denny Clark, Ricky Clark, Jimmy Clark, Jeff Clark, Marlene Clark and Joan Clark.
