James Franklin Simpkins

James Franklin “Frank” “Dipstick” Simpkins, age 73 of Stewart, TN, passed away April 30, 2025 at his residence.

Frank entered this life on May 3, 1951 in Ashland City, TN, son to the late James Arthur Simpkins and Frankie Sue Walton Simpkins. Frank retired as a commercial truck driver after spending most of his life on the road; something he was very passionate and proud of. After his retirement, Frank enjoyed spending his days on his porch with his dog, and spending time with his family; he will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his loving children, Tammy Rumfelt, Jeff (Sharon) Simpkins; the mother of his children, Delores Clements; siblings, Terry (Becky) Simpkins, Ricky (Dawn) Simpkins, and Tonya (Gray) Deason. Frank also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Paige Rumfelt (Caulder) Taylor, Colten (Bethany) Rumfelt; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Taylor, Casey Rumfelt; and expecting soon, great-grandchildren, Collin Taylor, and Vivian Rumfelt; along with many loved nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews. 

The Simpkins family would like to thank George and Sherri Dennis who were much more than just neighbors to Frank. The love, kindness, and friendship shown, never went unnoticed. The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff with Tennessee Quality Hospice for the compassionate care given.
