James Howard Harris, 83 of Clarksville, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Skyline Hospice in Madison.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2014 at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Louie Montoya and Rev. Lynn Hinkle officiating. Burial will be in Central Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel and 10-11 a.m. Friday at First Assembly of God Church.
James Howard was born December 20, 1930 in Montgomery County, TN son of the late William Batson and Dehlia Esther Harper Harris. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church and a retired Electrical Engineer with Trane Company.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Harris; brothers, Foard Harris and Robert Batson Harris and his sister, Lillian Thomas Pollard
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Barbara Carol Vaughn Harris of Clarksville; daughters, Minia Joyce (Bobby) Suiter of Chouteau, OK and Naomi (Ron) Harrison of Lebanon, TN; son, James (Rhonda) Harris of Woodlawn; sister, Ann Harris of Pulaski, TN; step-children, Dana Gardner, Randy Carter and Jimmy Carter; grandchildren, Jeffery Suiter, Charlie Suiter, Lacy Means, Lisa Edwards, and Daniel Harrison and 9 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Jeffery Suiter, Charlie Suiter, Daniel Harrison, Michael Harris, Will Harris and Timothy Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be his Billiards pals from Ajax Turner Senior Citizen’s Center. Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International.
