James Foley

James William Foley, age 101, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, 1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the hour of service.

Burial and Military Honors will take place on at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

James entered this life on September 4, 1923 in Virden, IL to the late Hugh and Mary Foley. He was a man of honor, integrity, and respect. James had a great sense of patriotism and was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was on the front lines of Omaha Beach on D-Day and volunteered the day after Pearl Harbor. James was also a man of God and devout Christian.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 76 years, Mary Foley; daughter, Linda Stumes (Michael), and siblings, Tanner, Dee and Dorris.

Survivors include his daughter, Connie Nesley, and her husband, John; grandchildren, Kenneth Lynch, Jennifer Conley (Ray), Hannah Robertson, and Alicia Reilly (David); great-grandchildren, Colton Conley, MaKayla Sheffield (Chase), Trent Conley, Katie Conley, Dylan Reilly, Samantha Reilly, and Jude Reilly.

Memorial donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
