James Otis Bentley, 92, Clarksville, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 17, 1915 in Dickson County, son of George and Cindy Bentley. Mr. Bentley was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WWII, a retired electrician and a member of Louise United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Nell Nicks Bentley, Clarksville; sons, Alvin Lee Bentley and James Thomas Bentley, both of Clarksville; sister, Minnie Aldridge, Tellico Plains, TN; two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
