James Baggett, of Clarksville, went to be with The Lord Saturday, February 8, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was 69 years old.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery.
The Baggett family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
James entered this life on January 22, 1945 in Clarksville, son to the late James E. Baggett, Sr. and Sendie Lee Ferrell Baggett. He was a graduate of Montgomery Central High School and later went on to be manager of Auto Bumper where he worked for 25 years. James was a member of the Corvettes of Clarksville car club and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Kay Grimes Baggett; his children, Bryan Baggett and his wife Ruth and Michelle Baggett Lahna and her husband William; grandchildren, Haly Rau (Josh), Harley Smith, Hannah Johns (Chris), and John Michael Baggett; brothers, David Baggett (Sharon), Paul Baggett (Cyndie), Mark Baggett (Charlene), Timmy Baggett (Joann), and Joel Baggett (Teresa); stepmother, Betty Jean Baggett; and his best friend, Bear.
Serving as pallbearers are David, Paul, Mark, Tim, Joel, Michael, and Neil Baggett.
