Jackie Giving Rye, 68, Cunningham, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at his home to go be with his Lord .. The funeral will be held at 2:00Pm Sunday at McReynolds - Nave and Larson Chapel with Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Burial will be in Marion United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 til 8p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and from Noon til service Sunday. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Nov. 24, 1938 in Montgomery County son of Issac L. Rye and Minnie Underwood Rye. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Newell Rye, Archie Rye, Paul Edwards; sisters, Mary L. Neal, Madeline Bowling and Betty Sawyer. Mr. Rye was retired from Trane Company and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Whitaker Rye, Cunningham; step-sons,Harry Burton Jr., Mark Burton, Jerry Burton; sister, Vernell Rye Allison, Guthrie; grandchildren, Jesse Burton and Billy Burton. Pallbearers: Scott Rye, Bobby Rye, Donnie Rye, Pat Sawyer, Neal Allison, Richard Amos, Roland Edwards.
