Iona Davis

Iona Edna Davis, 86, Clarksville, died Monday, May 18, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Ward Carver officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Hill Cemetery in Petaluma, CA. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born April 17, 1923 in Montgomery County, TN and was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Emily Baggett Rye; husband, Ray Davis; son, Marty Davis; brothers, Elmer Rye, John H. Rye, Leonard Rye, Oscar Rye; sisters, Idell Hams, Fredonia Rye, Daisy Eads and Viola Crain. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughters, Sonja (Al) Jestadt, Singleton, CA, Nita Davis, Concord, CA; sister, Dorothy Stroud, Cunningham; niece, Debbie (Billy) Payne, Cunningham; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
