Hugh Bryant Huggins, age 85 of Clarksville, passed away on April 6, 2014 at his home with his family by his side.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. and at 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Hugh entered this life on December 17, 1928 in Montgomery County and was the son of Frank Huggins and Mary Ellen Yarbrough Huggins. He belonged to the Mason Lodge 747 and was a member of Christ Fellowship Church. He also worked as a plate maker from Poser Printing and was a Korean War Veteran. Also, Hugh worked as the APSU Farm Manager for 15 years and was an attendant at Bi-county Waste Management.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Herman Huggins, Doc Huggins, Shinney Huggins, John T Huggins, Bally Huggins, and Dudley Huggins; sisters, Mable Black and Roby Parker.
Survivors include his children, Freddy (Charlotte) Huggins, Teddy (Lisa) Huggins, and Josephine Stuard; step sons, Ronnie (Maryellen) Black, and Joe (Peggy) Black; step daughters, Connie (Melvin) Miller, and Tina Mackens; sister, Nell Clark; 7 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 9 great-step grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include Daniel Huggins, John Henry Huggins, Joseph Huggins, Curtis Huggins, Jesse Huggins, Brandon Stuard, Clinton Stuard, and Justin Huggins.
