Howell Morrison

Finis Howell Morrison, age 80 of Clarksville, went to be with his Lord on March 29, 2014 at his home.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Memorial Baptist Church with Revs. James Shepherd and William Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Morrison Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson and Wednesday 2 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Howell entered this life on November 20, 1933 in Montgomery County and was the son of the late Finis Y. Morrison and Jessie Holt Morrison. Also preceded in death by daughter, Amy Fry and a brother, Roy Morrison. He was a charter member and a deacon of New Faith Baptist Church in Palmyra and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include, his wife, Judith Taylor Morrison; Sons, Curtis (Jami) Morrison, and Allen (Rolanda) Morrison; Daughters, Glee (Dwayne) Smith, Leah Sidell, Lana (Dewayne) Patterson; Sisters, Mary Jean Whisenant, June Bryant, Martha (Richard) Hughes, Faye Mathews and Sheron (Barry) York; Mother-in-law Annie M. Taylor; 16 Grandchildren, and 4 Great-grandchildren. He was thought of as a father by many.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, fellow deacons, and Coon hunting buddies.
