Howard Bailey

Mr. Howard Joe Bailey, age 79 of Erin, TN, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Griffins Chapel Church of the Nazarene with Rev Wilson Howard Spencer and Rev Ernie Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery with military honors.
The Bailey family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday afternoon at the church.
Howard entered this life on April 13, 1936 in Houston County, TN, son to the late Joe and Lela Felts Bailey. Howard attended Griffins Chapel Church of the Nazarene, and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Darlene Dennis; and son, Gary Bailey.
Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Bernice Bailey; son, James Garner Bailey; daughter, Lessa Lee Simon (Gary); stepsons, Grant Hudson (Carrie), Brian Hudson (Amanda); brothers, Lester Bailey, Garner Bailey; sister, Lilly Mae Breeden; five grandchildren. Five great-grandchilden, and three step grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will Brian Dennis, Ethan Hudson, Brandon Hudson, Chris Bailey, Dennis Bailey, and Phillip Bailey.
