Homer Allen Thomas, 88 of Erin, TN passed away at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Nave Funeral Chapel Erin, TN, with the Rev. Ken Wallace and Sister Lela Roby officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland City Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. Saturday April 27, 2013 and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home.
Homer was born February 10, 1925 in Cumberland City, son of the late, Samuel Rex Thomas Sr. and Lela Reynolds Thomas. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rex Thomas, Jr. and Robert Thomas; sisters, Ethleen McIntosh and Martha Ann Wisdom. Homer was a Retired Independent Insurance Agent, He formerly worked at Erin Bank and Trust, he was formerly on Erin City Council and a volunteer fireman. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, a Member of the Erin United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher, Erin Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge#370 Scottish Rite Shriner.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his brothers, Bill Seay Thomas of Florida and Bruce Thomas of Dearborn,MI; sisters, Frances Wallace of Cumberland City, Beryl Parchman of Alexandria, TN, Mary Sue Dascanio of Ft. Worth, TX ad Bernice Barnes of Deer Park, TX
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
