Helen Hinson Edmondson, age 92, of Clarksville, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Wednesday May 6, 2020 at her home in Clarksville, following a brief illness due to complications of a broken hip.
Helen Jean Hinson Edmondson entered into this world on June 3, 1927 in Danville, Tennessee, daughter of John Stewart Hinson Sr. and Ollie Richardson Hinson. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and farm activities.
Helen Jean was preceded in death by her husband Joe I. Edmondson Jr. and her grandson Sean P. Edmondson; her siblings, John S. Hinson Jr. Bettye Jo Hinson Dortch, Charles Dudley Hinson, Henry Lorin Hinson, and George Emmitt Hinson.
She is survived by her loving children; Joe I. Edmondson III (Effie Lou), Karen D. Smith (Edward), John Edmondson, and David Edmondson (Cindy). Miss Helen was also the loving grandmother of four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her honor to your local charity of choice.
