Hattie Imogene Rye

Hattie “Imogene” Rye, age 93 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Buchannon officiating. Burial will follow in Rye Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.

Imogene entered this life on February 21, 1933 in Hickman County, TN, daughter to the late Conner Hanes and Hattie Davis Hanes.

In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Rye Sr; son, Joey Don Rye; siblings, Catherine Hanes, Minor Hanes, Keith Hanes, and Arthur Hanes.

Survivors include his loving children, Donna Gay Rye Harris, James Thomas Rye Jr; siblings, Oneil Hanes, Joyce Carpeneter, Dale Hanes, Arnold Hanes, and Aaron Hanes. Imogene also leaves behind five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nave Funeral Home.
