Gary Dallas Nance, age 84 of Erin, TN, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Waverly Healthcare and Rehab while surrounded by his loving family with his wife holding his hand.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Lowry Cemetery.
The Nance family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday afternoon.
Gary entered this life on February 3, 1940 in Delta, MO, son to the late Taft and Velma Nance. Gary was a member of Elk Creek Baptist Church and worked as a machine operator for both the Houston County and Montgomery County Highway Department for 30 plus years. Gary was a simple man who loved farming, reading his western books, and spending time in the woods. However, his true passion in life was his family; he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Paul David Nance; and his great-grandson, Ronan Mitchell Webb.
Gary leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Brenda Fay Nance; children, Shani Nance, Jerree (Craig) Webb, Marty (Becky) Connor, Lydia Hill, Danny (Kathy) Seim, Brian Nance; siblings, Janice Boyd, Chet Nance; granddaughter, Arianna (Shamus) Garrity, along with 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Arianna Garrity, Joshua Webb, Zachery Webb, Matthew Webb, Brandon Connor, and Craig Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Connor and Dallas Marie Cox.
