Gary Burner

Gary Wilson Burner, age 73 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away January 5, 2024 at Houston County Community Hospital.

Gary entered this life on January 16, 1950 in Washington, DC, son to the late Paul Franklin Burner and Anna May Cecil Burner. Gary faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force and would later have a fruitful career in telecommunications while working with AT&T. In his early years, Gary loved playing baseball and football; in his later years, he loved watching his Tennessee Vols and western movies. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Burner; children, Paul (Jennifer) Burner, Amy Johnson; step-children, Shanna (Gary) Rye, Kristy Bell, Brandie (Brian) Bowers, Randy (Cheryl) Hollis; and his sister, Kathy Ives. Gary also leaves behind 2 grandchildren, 12-step grandchildren, and 8 step-great-grandchildren.
