Gail Brenda Schaal, born on January 27, 1952, in Westwood, California, passed away peacefully in Clarksville, Tennessee, on May 23, 2025, while comforted by her loving family. She was a devoted and attentive wife, mother, and grandmother, who embodied the spirit of love and dedication throughout her life. Gail was especially proud of her role as an Army wife, supporting her family and community of service-people with unwavering commitment.
In addition to her nurturing family dynamics, Gail had a range of interests that significantly enriched her life. She found joy in sewing and working in her garden, creating beauty that was appreciated by all who knew her. Her keen eye for detail also led her to explore woodworking, a hobby that showcased her creativity and craftsmanship. Baking was another interest that Gail had. It not only gave her great joy, but was a special treat she could share with her family. Her cookies were an especially beloved treat for her grandchildren!
Gail is survived by her beloved spouse, Daryl Schaal, and her cherished daughter, Karen Schaal Beard (Mike). She will be deeply missed by her mother and father, Florence and Phil Alberts, and her siblings, Marleen Joses, Gary Bridges (Sherry), Larry Bridges (Denise), Steve Alberts, and Stuart Alberts. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren: Stewart Sigler (Caitlyn), Josh Hollis, Jamie Graham (Robert), Daryl Beard, and Rilea Schaal Beard, along with her great-grandchildren, Bobby, Reagan, Lily, and Violet Graham.
Gail was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Amy Schaal, and her father, Jim Bridges.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, located at 1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN 37040, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation, paying tribute to Gail’s vibrant life, beginning at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Serving as pallbearers are Robert Graham, Daryl Beard, Stewart Sigler, Josh Hollis, Jamie Graham, and Rilea Schaal Beard.
