Fritzi Mae Shedden

Fritzi Mae (Steiner) Shedden, 71, of Cumberland City, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2026.

Fritzi was born January 31, 1955, in Elmira, New York. She was one of eight children and was preceded in death by her parents.

Fritzi was a kind, tenacious, and selfless woman who worked hard throughout her life, caring for her two sons as they grew up, making the most of what they had and never asking for much for herself. Later in life, Fritzi traveled alongside her husband, Max, as he worked in the trucking industry. She loved being on the road with him and seeing much of the country. Traveling became an important and enjoyable part of her life.

Fritzi enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, especially when she could make something for others to enjoy. She remained modest and humble throughout her life, never seeking attention or recognition. She was a simple woman with a quiet strength and a determination that carried her through life.

She is survived by her husband, Max; her two sons, Jerry and Robert, and their partners; as well as her siblings, extended family, and friends.

A small, private memorial service will be held at a later date.
