Franklin Anthony Perez (familian; Koho/Dondo), age 61, of Clarksville TN, formally of Santa Rita, Barrigada Heights, and Sinajana Guam USA, was called home by our heavenly father on Tuesday July 21, 2026, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville TN.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 AM, Tuesday August 4, 2026, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. The Perez family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00pm on Monday, August 3, 2026, and again from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, with United States Marine Corps Honors.
Franklin was born January 16, 1965, in Oka Tamuning, Guam to the late Francisco Lizama Perez and Carmen Chargualaf Cruz. He devoted 38 years of his life to working as a highway patrol officer for the Guam Police Highway Patrol Division, carrying out his duties with professionalism, integrity, and a genuine passion for protecting his community.
He also served in the United Nations KOCB Service for 2 years where he continued to take pride in serving his nation and protecting its people.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. His service taking him to many duty stations, most notably being; Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, San Diego, California, and Iwakuni, Japan. His commitment to public service and the lives he touched throughout his career left a lasting impact on those who knew and worked alongside him.
He was a faithful Catholic who cherished his relationship with the Lord and remained steadfast in his faith throughout his life.
In his new life he will be welcomed at the gates of heaven by his loving parents; Francisco Lizama Perez and Carmen Chargualaf Cruz, maternal grandparents; Juaquin Salas Cruz and Maria Chargualaf Cruz, his paternal grandparents; Jose Lizama Perez and Maria Duenas Perez. Brothers; Roque Francis Perez, William Cruz, and Henry Cruz as well as his mother-in-law; Eduviges Aguon Torres
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years; Mary Jane Perez whom he married in 1985, his son; Matthew Perez, daughters; Verronica Foster and her husband Sean (Corbin and Eathan), and Naedine Bryan and her husband Casey (Oliver and Abigail), siblings; Joseph Cruz and his wife Bernadita (Arlene, BJ, and JJ), Rosa Wearstler and her husband Jeffrey (Arlana, Annbel, Ronnie, and Tammy), Jesus Taitingfong and his wife Francis (Francine, Jesse Lee, Jackie, and Jamie), Debra Agualo and her husband Joseph (Anthony and heavenly bound nieces; Claire and Ruby), Melvin Nipper and his wife Krista (Angelika, Rebecca, and Naomi), Michael Perez (Michol and Shawntea), Patrick Perez and his wife Loretta (Ashley, and Josie), his sister-in-law Rose Cruz (Billie Jean, Trisha, Ben, Brianna) and his nieces and nephews by his heavenly bound brother Henry Cruz and his wife Patricia (Carmelita, Antony, Regina, Henry Jr, Mary, and Kione)
He is also survived by his sister-in-law who he took legal guardianship of Antonette Atoigue and her husband John (Keevin, Kiyerra, Keoni, and Kealoha).
