Frank Hayes

Hayes, Franklin D., was born on January 31, 1938 in Slayden, Tennessee to James Hayes and Nannie (nee. Morrison) Hayes (Isham). Franklin, who resided in Taylor, Michigan, passed away on December 12, 2023 at the age of 85.

Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon Saturday, December 16, 2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hayes Cemetery.

The family will recieve friends on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Loving father of Kathryn (Daniel Robins) Hayes of Madison Heights, MI, the late Franklin D. Hayes Jr., Stephen Hayes of Milan, MI, and Paul Hayes and Penny Harshbarger of Kingwood, WV. Franklin is the beloved companion of Linda Spray of Taylor, MI. Dear brother of Shelby Cisco of Clarksville, TN. Dearest grandfather of 11 – Cynthia (Dennis) Wilson, Kevin Hayes, Shayna (Khalil) Boussi, Christa (Brad) Work, the Late Kristopher Hayes, Stephen (Katie) Hayes, Samantha (Stuart) Budge, Jenna (Shane) Leggett, and Katelyn (Cody) Feeman . Loving great-grandfather of 17 – Anysiah, Trinity, Arsa, Clara, Zylar, Charlotte, Madeline, Rowen, Kiyden, Hudson, Hayden, Mary, Piper, Sutton, Caroline, and Gabriel. Franklin is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Franklin was preceded in death by his parents as well as by his 15 siblings – Claudie, Nannie, Barney, Nora, Lucille, Willard, James, Verble, Genevieve, Molly, Edgar, Sam, CH, Thurman, and Neil. Franklin was a member of the Taylor Masonic Temple. He served in the United States Army for 2 years in Korea. Franklin will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Steve Hayes, Paul Hayes, Kevin Hayes, Marke Stone, Greg Hayes, and Jesse Hayes.
