Evelyn Elizabeth Fortier, 96 of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
She will be laid to rest with her husband at a later date.
Evelyn was born on December 28, 1926 in Newton County, Mississippi; daughter of the late Alvin and Emma Huddleson. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Robert Rene Fortier; sisters, Louise Ledford, Francis Moore, Johnnie Clogher, Thellis Munn, and Ann Allen.
Survivors include her son, Wilburn “Butch” Fant, his wife, Elizabeth “Liz”: Fant; granddaughter, Amanda Fant-Herbek, her husband, Bradley Herbek; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Tanner and Flint.
The Fortier family would like to extend a special thanks to Jubilee House in Clarksville, TN, for their care and love for the last four years. They were much more than caregivers; they became family. We are eternally grateful to them for the special care to our loved one.
