Eva Jean Chester "Mama Jean"

Eva Jean Chester, lovingly known as “Mama Jean”, age 90 of Indian Mound, TN passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon Saturday, June 7, 2025, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Revs. Cal Hampton and Carson Outlaw officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at a later date.

Mama Jean entered this life on October 13, 1934, in Stewart County, TN to the late Ray Walker and Sadie Guinn Walker. She was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Gene Chester, and her siblings, Desmond Walker, Oneill Walker, and Brooksie Buchanan.

Survivors include her children, Brenda (Kevin) Teets, and Donna (Jeff) Hewell; grandchildren, Kevin Teets, JR, Kenneth (Jenny) Teets, Taylor (Samantha) Teets, Paige (Alan) Arms, and Zach (Blaire) Alexander; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Bethany, Braylee, Braxton, Emma, and Ella. She also leaves behind her sisters, Loretta Smith and Ann Coble.
