October 16, 1919 — January 2, 2014

Thurman Eugene Brown passed away Thursday January 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born October 16, 1919. Son of Calvin Reed Brown and Blanche Buchanan Brown. Eugene was preceded in death by his wife Martha Biggs Brown, parents Calvin Brown and Blanch Buchanan Brown, one daughter Gina Beth Brown Rye, five brothers and five sisters. He was a member of Long Branch UMC, American Legion, and oldest member of Masonic Lodge # 300. A Celebration of his life will be 1pm Sunday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Beverly Dycus and Pastor Denise Settle officiating. Masonic service at 7pm Saturday Visitation will be 4pm until 8pm Saturday and from 10am until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at McDonald Cemetery with Military Honors. Survivors include two sons Robert Brown of Erin, TN. Steven Brown of Tn. Ridge, Tn.one son in law Glenn Rye, four sisters in laws Velma Brown of Erin, Tn. Carolyn Smith of Nashville, and TN. Mary Himmaugh of Ca. Barbara Fowler of Halls, Tn. and Caregiver Tasha Self. Pallbearers will be Phil Brown, Randall French, Melvin Brown, Daryl Brown, Johnny Potts, Wayne Tue, Bobby Tue, and Bob Fowler.
