Etta Hazel Biter

Etta Hazel Biter, age 89, of Cunningham, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Gum Springs Baptist Church with Brother Michael Koontz, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Gum Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2013 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday at Gum Springs Baptist Church from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
Mrs. Biter was born December 1, 1923 to the late Lloyd and Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Black Conatser. She married Carl Duncan Biter on April 7, 1940.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Carl Robert Biter, and grandsons Vincent Dwayne Biter and Douglas Wayne Phipps.
Mrs. Biter was retired from the Acme Boot Company where she worked in the Cutting Department. She was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth (Janis) Biter, Charlotte; daughters, Rachel B. (Billy) Phipps Reddick, Erin, and Opal B. (Ed) Vaughn, Cunningham; sisters, Evelyn Harrison and Carrie (Billy) Bateman of Cunningham; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Biter, Jr., Ryan Biter, Michael Ingram, Billy Traylor, David Harrison, and Jeff Bateman. Honorary pallbearer will be Wendell Harrison.
