Durward Elliott Wills, 82 of Woodlawn, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Blooming Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
Elliott was born on April 3, 1933 in Montgomery County, the son of the late Durward Belmont Wills and Gracey Ladd. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Wills. Durward, a Methodist, was a farmer who had a love for hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Violet Austin Wills; sons, Tony (Brenda) Williams and James (Misty) Wills; daughters, Roxie Wills and Jo (Roy) Combs; sisters, Elizabeth (Norbert) Weissinger and Ruby (Jimmy) Barrow; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Williams, Michael Williams, John Williams, Ryan Combs, Roy Combs Jr., and James Wills Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Alexander Davitt and Hershel Jones.
