Elaine Greenup Ashby or as known by her family as "Nanna-Layne" of Clarksville, TN, passed away, February 1, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at McReynolds- Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. James Black officiating. Burial will follow in Southside Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 3-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until hour of service Tuesday. Elaine was born September 22, 1946 to Nondon Browning and Imogene Potts Purviance in Montgomery County, TN. She was preceded in death by her father and her grandson, Dusty Greenup. Left behind to cherish her memories are her mother; her son, Darrin (Bobbie) Greenup; daughter, Melody (Allen) Hutchison; grandchildren, Waylon (Blakely) Greenup, and Kelsie (Dustin) Reddick; great-grandchildren, Braedyn Greenup, Hadyn Greenup, Autumn Greenup, Alaina Faucett, and Tyler Reddick; sisters, Corene Jones and Cynthia (Billy) Travis; step-father Ray Purviance; and the father of her children, Ellis Greenup, Jr. Pallbearers will be Reginald Hughes, Howard Greenup, Waylon Greenup, Larry Greenup, Billy Travis, Dustin Reddick, Jeff Harris, and Steve Williams.
