Edna Thompson

Edna Mae Thompson, 81, Clarksville, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at Northcrest Medical Center, Springfield, TN. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Clarence Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 12 noon - 8 p.m. Thursday and 12 noon until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born August 22, 1926 in Todd County, KY daughter of James H. Minton and Edna Seay Minton. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, David N. Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was a retired cook for Montgomery County Schools and a member of New Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Jimmie D. Thompson Sr., Murfreesboro, TN, James H. Thompson I, Dickson, TN, Anthony C. Thompson, Clarksville; daughters, Linda Smith, Lavergne, TN, Lee Ann Carter, Adams, TN, brother, William Minton, Illinois; sister, Mary Buchanan, Indian Mound; sisters-in-law, Effie Killewbrew, Clarksville, Annie Trattner, Indianapolis, IND, and Geneva Minton, Clarksville; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmie Thompson Jr., Bailey Thompson, Billy Phillips Jr., Dale Phillips, Kevin Thompson, Kristopher Thompson and Derrick Thompson.
