Dottie Newman

Dottie Bell Newman, age 80 formerly of Cumberland Furnace, TN, passed away September 30, 2023 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow in Center Point Cemetery.

The Newman family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and again from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.

Dottie entered this life on October 14, 1942 in Dickson, TN, daughter to the late Joseph Puckett and Lois Lewis Puckett. Dottie previously attended Baggett’s Chapel Church of God of Prophecy.

In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Newman; granddaughter, Amber Newman; and seven siblings.

Survivors include her loving children, Alan (Michelle) Newman, Jeff (Debbie) Newman, Angela (Charles) Green. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and her beloved dog Divia.

Family and friends will service as pallbearers.
