Dorothy Schmittou

July 9, 1922 — January 11, 2014

Dorothy Schmittou, age 91, departed her earthly life and went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 11, 2014. Her husband, Leo Schmittou, preceded her in death. She was born in Montgomery County, TN to Vernon and Bertha Weakley who predeceased her along with her sisters, Jewell Yates and Margaret Weakley.
Dorothy was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church and had a life long career in the radio broadcasting business as a sales manager and station manager. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her children; daughter, Kathy Brandon (Jim), son, Barry Schmittou, granddaughter, Kelly Brandon Sebes (Marc), grandson, Jay Brandon, great grandson, Brandon Sebes, great granddaughter, Clarissa Sebes, who all survive. She is also survived by brothers Sory Weakley and Richard Weakley.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14th, 2014 from 12 noon until the hour of service at 2 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jay Brandon, Marc Sebes, Kent Yates, Tom Moylan, Vernon Weakley, and Bennie Weakley.
