Dorothy Jane Manners

Dorothy Jane Manners, 87 of Clarksville, TN passed away on August 21, 2026.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday August 26, 2026, at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Riggins officiating, burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the hour of service. Serving as pallbearers are Zach Christy, Robert Beaver, David Foster, Paul Duke, David Clay, and Greg McCarty.

Dorothy was born in Clarksville, TN, on March 16, 1939; daughter of the late George Dewey Riggins and Lillie Hogue Riggins.

In addition to her dear parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings; Davis Riggins, Lawrence Riggins, Henry Riggins, Lillie Bell Sherfield, Lucille Duke, William Riggins and Thelma Watkins as well as two children; William Manners, Jr. and Cheryl Manners.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, William Manners, Sr. son; Ronald Manners, daughter; Connie Bearden (Henry), daughter in law; Cathy Manners, her grandchildren; Dana Foster (David), Laura Beaver (Robert), and Cody Baggett, as well as her great-grandchildren; Alyssa Foster, Colby Baggett, and Charlie Baggett; and sisters-in-law Evelyn Riggins and Hazel Riggins.

She was a faithful member of Apostolic Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She retired from Memorial Hospital as a nurse’s aide, where she served taking care of new born babies.
