Doris Virginia Wilson, age 54, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at her residence.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastor Emilio Cousin and Minister Faye Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Erin Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home.
Doris was born March 11, 1960 in Erin, TN, daughter of the late William and Mary Francis Powers Cooksey. She was a faithful member of the Bread of life Christan Center, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Wilson; daughter, Amanda Lyle; step-daughter Starr Andrews; one brother, Keith Cooksey; seven sisters, Verna Lewis, Edna Turner, Linda Keese, Bertha Marable, Tina Turner, Cynthia Brown and Breta Mays; and four grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Denise Keese, John Turner, Troy Mayes, Donnie Wilson, Don Wilson and Quinn Garner.
