David Phillips

David Phillips, age 79, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 while at the VA Hospital, Nashville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hagewood & Hand Cemetery. David's family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday.
David entered this life on December 10, 1943, in Clarksville to parents Arthur and Harriet Marie Morgan Phillips. As a young man, David served his country in the United States Air Force. During his service as an Airman, he received the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He went on to have a fruitful career with Pepsi Cola. He was a lifetime member of the Clarksville Conservation Club and a member of the Clarksville Boat Club.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother and sister. Survivors include his wife, Shelia Louise Hagewood Phillips; sons, Chad (Tonia) Phillips and Jason (Heather) Phillips; his grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa Phillips, Caitlin Daffron-Benzing, and Rachel and Ryan Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Arya and Mason Taylor.
Serving as pallbearers are Chad Phillips, Jason Phillips, Austin Phillips, Preston Holt, Trey Vertrees, and Jason Pike.
