David Lee Hampton, 73 of Clarksville, went to be with his Lord after losing his battle with cancer, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Spring Meadows.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Clarksville International Church, 1101 Ashland City Road, Clarksville, TN with Marsha Hardy officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
David was born on August 2, 1942 in Montgomery County, the son of the late Roland and Katie Hampton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Hayes Hampton. David owned and operated the first 10 Minute Oil Change in Clarksville. His interest included restoring old cars, car racing, and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Jason Hampton; daughters, Cathy Hampton and Tammy Harper; step-sons, Darrel Winters and Kelly Winters; brothers, Ronnie Hampton and Andy Hampton; sisters, Marsha Hardy, Rita Hampton, Ruth Ann Long, Mary Kay Munson, and Kala Hampton; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Spring Meadows Nursing Home and AseraCare Hospice.
