David Carrigan

David Lael Carrigan, age 34 of Clarksville, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Riley, Rev. Mark Carrigan, Rev. Bill Graham, and Dr. Mike Carrigan officiating. Burial will follow at Davidson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at First Baptist Church.
David entered this life on August 28, 1979 the son of Dr. Vernon Michael Carrigan and Melynda Collins Carrigan. He worked as an Actuarial Scientist and was a member of First Baptist Church. David was well accomplished as he was an Eagle Scout and the winner of the Tennessee Statewide High School Mathematics Contest for two years. He graduated from Clarksville Academy with honors and was a graduate of Vanderbilt University with honors in Mathematics and Computer Science. He attended Medical School at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis, Tennessee.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Melynda Collins Carrigan; paternal grandparents, Vernon B. Carrigan and Lois Rinehart Carrigan; and maternal grandmother, Juaneese Hurst Collins.
Survivors include his parents, Dr. Mike Carrigan and Ruth Collins Carrigan; brother, Jonathan Michael (Randi) Carrigan; uncle, Rev. Mark Thomas (Robin) Carrigan; aunts, Hope Cersley and Ruth Ann Carrigan Daniels.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Carrigan, John Jones, Dr. Ted Brandon, “Doc” Smith, Dr. Jerry Karr, Alan Austin, Norris Heggie, Larry Carter, Dwight Staggs, Dr. Bill Prine, and Dr. Art Cole.
