David Bumpus

David Harold Bumpus, age 79, of Cunningham, TN passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Private family services will be held.

David entered this life on September 23, 1943, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Clarence and Bessie Bumpus. He was a graduate of Montgomery Central High School and a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. He spent his years working as an electrician. David enjoyed being outdoors and spending time in nature. Whether he was picking blackberries, tending to his cows, or mushroom hunting, he just liked being outside. More than anything, David enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings,  Frank Bumpus, Ross Bumpus, Jewel Hayes, Jean Kraeske, and Clyde Bumpus.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Carole Bumpus; children, Phyllis Card and her husband, Edward; Todd Bumpus and his wife, Shawn; grandchildren, Laurin (Josh) Carter, Layne Card, Morgan Bumpus, and Madison Bumpus; great-grandchildren, Silas, Knox, and Judah; siblings, Dell Parks and Hank Bumpus.
