David Batson

David R. Batson, age 84, of Cunningham, TN passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

David entered this life on January 27, 1942, in Clarksville, TN to the late Authur Lee Batson and Bessie Alma Jones Batson. He was a member of Ryes Chapel Church and retired from Clarksville Zinc Plant after 27 years of dedicated employment. David enjoyed fishing, gardening, mowing, being outdoors, loved animals, and spending time at the Country Diner.

Survivors include his children, Barbara Ann McCauley (Matt), Rita Fain (Lindsey), Nita Greenup (Brian Smith), Terry Batson, and Timothy Batson (Karissa Willmon); grandchildren, Mitchell Rye, Michael Rye, Rhonda Hollis, Jeffery Hollis, David Batson, Audrey Batson, Rebecca Nagle, Hope Jaimes, and Sarah Claycomb.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lindsey Fain, Timothy Batson, Andrea Slayden, Brian Smith, and Terry Batson.

Arrangements are in the care of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, 1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN.
