CW4 (Ret) David Bramel

CW4 (Ret) David D. Bramel, age 74 of Clarksville passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
Celebration of Life will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Deacon John Cheasty officiating. Military Honors will be held.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
David entered this life on October 16, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Robert and Aleen Bramel. He attended both West Virginia University and Troy State University. David enjoyed reading, writing, art, camping, and spending time with family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was retired from The United States Army with 22 years of honorable service, reaching the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4 and was a founding father of The Night Stalkers Special Operation Aviation Regiment. After his Military retirement he continued to serve with The Night Stalkers until 2014. While David was in the Army, he was the recipient of the following awards and medals: Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Air Medal with V device and numeral 23, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal 4 (OLC), Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 5 campaign stars, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry (Unit), and Master Army Aviator Badge.
Survivors include his loving wife, Nonie Bramel; sons, Dave (Tracy) Bramel, Robert Bramel, and Adam Bramel; daughter, Shelby Bramel; children by marriage, Alan (Bushra) Ferguson, Bridget (Ashley) Ferguson, and Jennifer (Victor) Ferguson; grandchildren, Taylor (Michael), Leigh-Ayn (Taylor), Charles, Lilly, Danté, James, and Freya; great-grandchildren, Grey, David, and Maggie; brother, Richard (Kathy) Bramel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Dunn, Tommy Eaves, Myron Beals, Bryan Lynch, Wes Komvlainen, and Jerry Clark.
