Clara Alice Sadler Shrader

Clara Alice Sadler Shrader, 78 of Clarksville, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July 7, 2024 quietly at home surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2024, at McReynolds Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville, with Rev. Bill Graham and Pat Van Dyke officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home on Thursday.

Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton, KY.

Clara was born on October 12,1945 in Trenton, KY to the late Louis Sadler and Alice Taylor Sadler. She was proceeded in death by her sister, Mary Mac Sadler Waggoner and son-in-law, Charles Hudson.

Clara grew up on a farm in Trenton, KY, attending schools in Trenton, KY, Guthrie, KY and Todd County Central High School where she graduated in 1964.

She also attended Austin Peay State University.

Clara was a member of Trenton First Baptist Church for many years before her marriage to Willard Dale Shrader on October 14, 1967. They enjoyed traveling to the mountains of East Tennessee as well as historic sites in the eastern United States. They have enjoyed 56 years of marriage.

Clara and Dale were members of First Baptist Church for over 55 years. Clara was a member of several Sunday School classes and sang in the choir for several years. She was a fervent student of the Bible and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 

Clara is survived by her loving family, which includes her husband, Willard Dale Shrader of Clarksville, TN, daughters, Cynthia Alice Hudson of Clarksville, TN, Polly Anessa (Cliff) Fields of Clarksville, TN, grandson, Garrett Ross Fields of Clarksville, TN, granddaughter, Gillian Taylor Fields of Clarksville, TN, sister Dorothy Sue Smith of Piqua, Ohio, brother, Charles Louis (Brenda) Sadler of Trenton, KY and brother John (Mary Linn) Sadler of Trenton, KY.

Pallbearers will be Cliff Fields, Garrett Fields, John Sadler, Jerry Ross, Mike Fields, and Richard Hopper.
