Christine Roaf

Christine S. Roaf, age 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at her home in Clarksville.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Clarksville, Grace Sanctuary, with the Reverend Roger Freeman officiating. The Roaf family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Committal will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Christine entered this life on July 29, 1924 in Lynn, Massachusetts, daughter to Grover and Sadie Manzer Stevens. She was retired from a career as a tax office secretary. In her younger years, Christine played the piano and sang in the church choir. Additionally, she led many Women's Bible studies over the years. She was member of the Ajax Turner Senior Center and belonged to the church family at First Baptist Church of Clarksville. In her free time she loved sewing, baking, and knitting. Always attentive to her family's needs, Christine was a dear and loving mother.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Williard L. Roaf, Jr. of Clarksville, and her children, G. Willard Roaf and his wife Margie Lou of Byfield, MA and Claudia Erb and her husband Ron of Clarksville. She was the grandmother of Jeremiah Erb, Jason Roaf, Gregory Roaf, Joel Erb, and Bradford Roaf and great grandmother to Sadie Roaf, Lucy Roaf, Lorelei Erb, and Lewis Roaf.
