Charles (Charlie) Bumpas SR

Mr. Charles Edward (Charlie) Bumpas SR., age 94 of Danville, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Grace Healthcare in Clarksville, TN.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
The Bumpas family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home Monday morning.
Charles was born July 23, 1921 in Henry County, TN, son to the late Charlie Cecil Bumpas and Lena Dunn.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Mae Bumpas, and brother, Howard Bumpas.
Charles was a retired CW-2 United States Army Veteran and served in WWII and the Korean War. He was a pro bass fisherman and first president of the Clarksville Bass Club where he received a lifetime membership in the Clarksville Bass Club. In 1991 Charlie received the fisherman BCA Champion of Tournament Champion’s award. He was also a long time member of Masonic Lodge 132, Elizabethtown, KY.
Survivors include son, Chuck Bumpas of Memphis, TN; daughters, Patty Rogers of Lavergne, TN, and Ann Senters of Danville, TN. Charles also leaves behind nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
