Carl Raymond Evans, age 89, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013.
A private family service will be held. His remains are to be cremated.
Carl entered into this life on June 27, 1924 in Montgomery County, son to Raymond and Annie Heggie Evans. Carl honorably served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a submarine sailor on the U.S.S. Mingo. After his military service, he worked for and retired from Civil Service where he worked in FORCE COMP. Carl was a creator of art and a collector of art.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Katie Cornell Evans; sons, Carlton Evans, Scott Evans, and Wes Evans (Shelly); daughters, Gail Hamilton (John), Jill Haskins (Donny), Vickie Sexton (Bob), Judy Shaffer (Larry), Dixie Ransford (Geoff), and Discie Rodriguez (Rod). He was the grandfather of fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
