Bonnie Brake Rye

Bonnie Brake Rye, age 76 of Cumberland City, TN, passed away September 5, 2026 at Tristar Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Henley officiating.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service. 

Bonnie entered this life on March 23, 1950, in Clarksville TN, daughter to the late Ryman Brake and Francis Horner Brake.

Bonnie was an active member of her community, serving as an elementary school teacher for 39 years. She was active in the Eastern Star, the Retired Teachers Association, and a member of Spring Hill Church.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Eddie Rye; daughters, Tammy Howell (Joey) and Beth Rye (Blake); sister, Linda Rye (Tommy); sister in law, Elaine Lynn (Ralph); beloved grandchildren, Logan Callis, Kaylee Daza (Stefano), Trent Tomlinson, Easton Elliott (Samantha) , and Ryen Stewart, as well as her dear great-grandchild; Elena Daza. She also leaves behind her dear nephews and nieces; Richard Rye (Melissa), Rafalea Powers, Kelly Quick, and Ralph “Woodrow” Lynn III.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Logan Calllis, Trent Tomlinson, Easton Elliot, Richard Rye, Derek Pryor, Casey Stinson, and Joey Howell. Ryen Stewart will serve as an honorary Pallbearer.
