Billy Dee Wall

Billy Dee Wall, 88 of Cunningham, TN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church on Saturday.

Billy was born in Montgomery County, TN on April 9, 1938; the son of the late Willie Dee and Edna Painter Wall. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his siblings; Juanita Bearden, Laverne Bailey, Bobby Wall, Joe Wall, Allen Wall; and grandson, Westley Wall.

Billy had worked in various jobs throughout his life, but he spent the majority working in construction, landscaping and excavation. He owned Billy Wall and Son Excavating.

He was a man that enjoyed traveling, he had been to a total of 48 states. Simple pleasures brought Billy much joy in life from spending time with family and friends to camping with his grandchildren. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and watching westerns. Billy was also a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 67 years, Martha Dell Wall; children Chris (Rhonda) Wall, Dana (Danny) Ferrell, and Marty (Teresa) Wall; grandchildren Amy (Josh) Briggs, Austin (Britney) Wall and Taylor Wall; great grandchildren Laney and Heath Briggs.

Pallbearers will be Todd Wall, Jeff Walton, Joe Wall Jr, Nathan Wright, Tommy Davis, Mathew Davis, Mike Bailey and Barry Batson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery to Dawne Smith at 6226 Hodges Ln, Cumberland Furnace, TN 37051
