Betty Slaton, 88 of Bumpus Mills, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Tennova Health Care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. James Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery, White Plains, KY.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday and from 12 noon until the hour of service on Friday.
Betty was born on August 13, 1927 in West Virginia, the daughter of the late George and Elsie Puffenbarger. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hammond Slaton and daughter, Diana Broadhead. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church in Woodlawn.
She is survived by her son, Tommy (Jackie) Slaton; daughters, Robin Batey and Connie (Charles) Heath; brother, Gerald Puffenbarger; 9 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
