Betty Grimes

Beatriceann Louise Grimes, lovingly known as “Betty”, age 78, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Betty entered this life on October 30, 1947 in New York, New York to the late Jessee and Hazel Coy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Betty was also a Veteran of The US Air Force. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved dog, Simba, baking, decorating cakes, and spending time with animals.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ira Thomas; son, Ronald Anthony “Tony” Grimes, and 8 siblings.

Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Rocchietti (Tommy), and Kimberly VanHooser; adopted son, Marcus Platt; grandchildren, Kelsey Rocchietti, Sergeant Jack VanHooser, Jesiah Martinez, Yahshua Martinez, and Gabriel Morgan; sisters-in-law, Shiela Barrett (Kirk Douglas), and Theresa Jones (Jim).
