Betty Browning

Betty Ruth Browning, age 74, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023.

Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Bob Yarbrough Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Betty entered this life on March 6, 1949 in Montgomery County, TN to the late  Barnaby Johnson and Mildred Sykes Wright . She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Betty was also a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, James Edward Johnson; grandson, Shane Johnson, and sisters, Patricia Davidson, and Dorothy Harp.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Johnson, and her companion (Hal Oberg); granddaughter, Stephanie Herrell; great-grandchildren, Michael, Samuel, Aviana, and Zayla, and brother, James Wright.
