Betty was born March 6, 1937 in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Elzie Mackey and Elizabeth Hall Mackey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Brown and son, Jeffrey Brown. She had a love for painting and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Teresa) Brown; daughter, Rebecca Thomas; sister, Shelby Mackey Groves; 6 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
